In this time of rapidly changing information, we know that small business owners need help to address urgent financial concerns and access critical resources for themselves. The organizations inviting you are gathering to share the most up-to-date and immediate information and resources at the city, state, and national levels.
Join ICIC, the U.S. Small Business Administration, Opportunity Fund, the City of Long Beach Economic Development Department and Small Business Majority for a national webinar this Thursday where we'll cover updates and resources related to COVID-19 and policy recommendations to bolster small business owners right now. Awesta Sarkash manages Small Business Majority’s policy and government affairs efforts in our nation's capital and the Mid-Atlantic region. Prior to joining Small Business Majority, Awesta served as the Director of Advocacy and Communications at the Coalition for Nonprofit Housing and Economic Development (CNHED), a nonprofit membership association that supports the community development sector in DC.
Eric Romero is a Project Manager in the City of Long Beach Economic Development Department, Business Development Bureau. Some of his responsibilities include managing the Business Improvement District Program and supporting small business programs and initiatives.
Brian oversees Small Business Majority's Entrepreneurship Program and Venturize.org platform, which deliver key education and resources to entrepreneurs seeking to start and grow their business. He builds partnerships with organizations that serve small business owners, evaluates the program's activities and impact, and oversees the development of Venturize to ensure it is the one-stop hub for the nation's entrepreneurs.
Iosefa Alofaituli is the Regional Director of Opportunity Fund, helping the nation’s largest nonprofit lender to small businesses, by leading fund and brand development, and expansion efforts in Southern California.
