Danielle Osborne, PhD Senior Research Scientist @ ZRT Laboratory

Dr. Danielle Osborne is a neuroscientist passionate about uncovering the intricate connections between hormones, brain health, and disease. With a Ph.D. in Behavioral Neuroscience and a dual B.S. in Psychology and Biology, she initially pursued a pre-med path before discovering her true calling in research—challenging scientific assumptions and exploring the complexities of human biology. Her work focuses on the interplay between hormones, metabolism, and cognitive function, with a particular emphasis on sex differences in Alzheimer’s disease and obesity. Since earning her Ph.D., she has helped advance understanding of how hormonal fluctuations, neuroinflammation, and insulin resistance impact brain health—especially in women, who face a higher risk of Alzheimer’s disease. At ZRT Laboratory, she applies this expertise to enhance hormone diagnostics, expand testing capabilities, and translate cutting-edge research into meaningful clinical insights.
