Welcome to Session 4 of “Where is the Delivery Bike Market Headed?” virtual event, hosted by ScootHero in association with HyperionDev.
In this session,HyperionDev graduates Esethu Pakela and Marcel Deetlefs will elaborate on the need for development graduates in the Delivery Bike Industry and how HyperionDev prepares students for entering such a fast paced industry.
The session will provide an in depth experience of the Delivery Bike industry and how young graduates and entrepreneurs should broaden their horizon to search for industry with an appetite for growth.

Esethu is the Business Analyst at ScootHero. She studied Data Science at Hyperiondev and graduated in March 2021. She joined this industry because she had an interest in statistics. Esethu is also a part time maths tutor. Her aspiration is to be as tech guru that specialises in AI and Machine Learning. Her advice and words of encouragement to development graduates are to “Know your worth and do your research in the niche you'd like to specialise in.”
Marcels is the Junior Backend Developer at ScootHero. He studied software engineering at Hyperion Dev and Python Programming at edX. He decided to join the delivery industry because it is a high in demand service and he believes there is still room to grow. His goal is to not only grow his career but to help the delivery industry grow with his contribution in developing new technologies. “My advice to new grads is to stay consistent, if you either finished a course or applied for a job, keep growing your knowledge and skills, just stay consistent.”
