METEORAGE invites you to their event

Lightning protection: 5 points to comply with the DSA03-OME

About this event

The Defense Code of Practice (DCOP) provides practical advice on how to comply with a regulation and helps to clarify legislative requirements, set Defence standards and identify roles and responsibilities. Dedicated to explosion-sensitive military sites, the DSA 03.OME Part 2 includes a special chapter prescribing the regulatory requirements and standards for special topics such as electrical installations or lightning protection.

In a special one-hour session, METEORAGE, European leader in lightning detection, will help you to identify in 5 points how to be compliant with this regulation and how preventive measures can complement existing protection systems. Dedicated to site managers, safety managers and compliance managers, a special testimonial on existing turnkey solutions will be given by Danny Williams, Range Control Manager at QinetiQ (MoD Shoeburyness), major player in the UK Defence sector.

What will you mainly learn during this webinar?

  • the interest and value-added to be compliant with the international standard (IEC EN 62793) regarding Thunderstorm Warning Systems (TWS),
  • the necessity for sites with explosives processing and storage facilities to get warned 30 minutes before an approaching thunderstorm (and that professional preventive solutions exist for that),
  • in the event of suspected damage, inspection must be done in case of lightning occurrence.
