Vince DiFiglia, Chief Technology Officer Architecture, QBE

Vince is an accomplished leader with deep expertise in information technology, while increasing business value, lowering costs and optimizing business operations performance. Vince joined QBE in 2019 and is accountable for our global Architecture function, which spans across both enterprise and divisional IT.

An over 20-year veteran to the insurance and financial services industry, Vince is an accomplished executive who has strong architecture, infrastructure and vendor management experience. He has a unique ability to deliver through building and leading high-performing organizations.

Prior to QBE, Vince served in a range of technology and transformational leadership roles at American International Group (AIG) in New York where he was both the CTO and later the CIO Head of Digital Workplace. He also held positions to include CTO at Ally Financial Services, and CIO Enterprise Data and US Lending at GMAC ResCap.

Stefan Verhoeven Chief Financial Officer, AutoFill Technologies

Stefan was the CFO at SAA. SAA is a top 5 player in the Dutch insurance intermediary market with c. 500 FTEs. Since 1982 it has followed a buy and build strategy in a rapidly consolidating, professionalizing and changing insurance market. Stefan led the effort to scale-up, rebuild and refocus the company. He was responsible for finance, legal & compliance, risk management, business development and business intelligence/improvement. In addition he built and scaled up an innovation hub, to kickstart its business becoming more client focused and future-proof. Currently Stefan is the CFO at AutoFill Technologies, a start-up in automatic detection of damage on vehicles through the use of Computer Vision and Artificial Intelligence, delivering its services amongst others to insurance and damage repair platforms.

Shaymus Kennedy Group Chief Information Officer, Athora Holding Ltd.

Shaymus is currently Group CIO, Executive Director and CEO Shared Services with Athora. Athora is a specialised insurance and reinsurance group fully focused on the European market. Throughout his career, he has relished the opportunity to drive transformation, creating an operations environment that delivers for customers, internal colleagues and other stakeholders. He believes that talent is a true differentiator and strives to have high calibre individuals, create diverse organisations in the broadest sense and a spirit of innovation.

His career has included C-suite level roles in large financial institutions, start-ups and regulated industries. He has shaped and delivered business strategy, driven digital transformation and change, and been heavily involved in M&A processes and integration, achievement of growth and value. A key part of his current role has been equipping the business with an effective, cross-border technology organisation while dealing with the complexities associated with international organisations.

Bimal Umeria Head of Wealth Management & Insurance, Delta Capita

Bimal was one of the original Delta Capita founding partners. He has 20+ years practitioner experience as a product specialist gained from working as Asia COO of the Equity Derivatives, Sec Fin and Exotics business at Goldman Sachs and also worked at DB, Nomura and Credit Suisse Financial Products within Credit Derivatives. He has a proven track record in strategic business transformations and programme management of large scale, complex front to back change initiatives. Implementation of Target Operating Models, effective governance frameworks, designed to deliver front office business transformation, programme mobilisation & management, planning, senior stakeholder management, communication and MI. Bimal brings extensive insight into the lessons learned by the capital markets industry and how to avoid some of the wrong turnings made in their change and transformations programmes.
