British Retail Consortium invites you to their event

Climate Action Week: Sustainable Sourcing

About this event

As part of BRC Climate Action Week 25-29 October, we’re hosting a series of events to showcase initiatives and good practice being undertaken by UK retailers on the journey towards Net Zero.

Each day we’ll profile and provide practical advice and guidance on one of the 5 key Pathways of the BRC Climate Action Roadmap – an ambitious industry-led initiative designed to get the whole of the UK Retail industry and its supply chains to Net Zero by 2040.

........................

This event, in conjunction with our Climate Action Roadmap Pathway 4 Partner, IBM, focuses on how we can decarbonise our retail supply chains.

Following a series of workshops and consultations, we’ve developed key metrics that retailers can use to measure emissions across their supply chains - and tested this against cotton, timber and plastics value chains. This will now be developed into guidance and templates so retailers can be confident of having the right targets, metrics and data in place to effectively report on and help reduce their scope 3 emissions.

Find out how to use the guide within your organisation. Put your questions direct to the IBM experts behind the guide, as well as the retailers involved in its development.

WHO SHOULD ATTEND?

This event is free to join and is open to all BRC retail members, associate members and non-members.

It will be of particular interest and benefit to colleagues with responsibility for sourcing, buying and purchasing; as well as colleagues responsible for meeting their organisation’s CSR and sustainability goals.
