Wiley Blevins, Ed.D. is an acclaimed author, researcher, and educational consultant who has taught in the U.S. and South America. A leading expert in early literacy, he has written over 17 teacher professional books, including A Fresh Look at Phonics, and 100+ children’s books. Wiley is also SVP and Associate Publisher at Reycraft Books. His work centers on adaptive technology, professional development, and diverse children’s literature.
Kelly Starling Lyons is a founding member of The Brown Bookshelf, a teaching artist, and an award-winning author of more than 30 books for young readers. Among her acclaimed picture books are Caldecott Honor winner Going Down Home with Daddy, Christopher Award winner Tiara's Hat Parade, Anna Dewdney Read-Together Award winner My Hands Tell a Story and Bank Street Best Books selection, Sing a Song: How Lift Every Voice & Sing Inspired Generations. Kelly is also the author of three popular series for young people—chapter books starring her characters Jada Jones and Miles Lewis, and the Ty's Travels easy readers which won a Geisel Honor for Zip, Zoom. Candace Fleming is the author of more than forty books. Among her nonfiction titles are the Sibert-honor winning Enigma Girls, the Los Angeles Times Book Prize winning The Family Romanov and Honeybee, winner of the 2021 Sibert medal. Her most recent title, Death in the Jungle, garnered eight starred reviews, was named a Kirkus Prize finalist and won the Boston Globe Horn Book Award for Nonfiction, as well as the YALSA Excellence in Nonfiction Award. Candace is also the recipient of both the Margaret A. Edwards Award for her significant contribution to teenage literature, and the Children’s Literature Legacy Award for her “substantial and lasting contribution to children’s literature through books that demonstrate integrity and respect for all children’s lives and experiences.”
