10.15am - 11.15am - Dyann Stewart | Facade Consultant | Technoform
Talk Topic: Building with Nature – Daylight and Human-Centric Design
In an era where sustainability and occupant well-being are paramount, the integration of natural daylight and human-centric design principles is no longer optional—it’s essential.
This presentation explores how thoughtful daylighting strategies and envelope design can enhance not only the energy performance of buildings but also the health, comfort, and productivity of their occupants. We’ll examine the science behind daylight’s impact on human behaviour, the design and human impact of window-to-wall ratios, and how advanced thermal break technologies enable high-performance façades that support both people and the planet.
Whether you're designing a high-rise office, a school, or a residential development, this session will provide you with practical insights and introduce tools to create buildings that are resilient, efficient, and human-centric.
