Copper Consultancy invites you to their event

Turning words into actions: building confidence in net zero

About this event

Join our panel speakers from the infrastructure industry to consider the UK’s ambitious emissions target and consider the vital role we all can play in achieving it.

Copper independently surveyed people across the country and asked if they support the UK’s target of achieving net zero emissions by 2050 and what changes they are willing to tolerate. It confirmed that people are behind net zero emissions and why it’s needed, and support development of new infrastructure to make it possible. However, understandably when it comes to people making personal choices that affect their day-to-day lives, they weren’t so accepting.

Leaders from BAM Nuttall, EDF Energy and Cadent will deliberate the challenges we face with net zero, how we can capitalise on the public’s support, and most importantly how impactful progress can continue in the wake of the Covid-19 crisis.

Panel Speakers

-Steve Fox CBE, BAM Nuttall (former Chief Executive), CITB (Trustee) and WISE (Board member)
