E Co. invites you to their event

E Co. institute trainings - Gender in climate finance projects: what you need to know

About this event

Join us and build your skillset

There is mounting evidence that women and girls are often disproportionately affected by the impacts of climate change. Mainstreaming gender within the design of adaptation and mitigation projects and programmes is crucial for securing gender equality and equity within climate-vulnerable communities. This also ensures project/programme outcomes and co-benefits accrue more equitably.

To guide you through gender mainstreaming for climate finance, join our team of experts on Tuesday, 28 February at 12pm GMT. Our panellists will share case studies to help you understand how gender mainstreaming advantages both active stakeholders and the wider project participants (such as implementation teams), and how to ensure gender inclusion in climate finance projects.

The workshop will cover several topics, including:

  • What the concept of ‘gender’ is and the myths surrounding it.
  • The latest developments regarding gender within the world of climate finance and development.
  • How can you include gender considerations and analysis within adaptation or mitigation projects?
  • The importance of a gender action plan, its impact, and what to include in them.

Our panel will include:

  • Debasmita Boral Rolland, Consultant
  • Mariella de Souza-Baker, Head of Marketing
  • Roberta Piacci, Consultant

Participate in our Q&A and polls

We will be running a Q&A where you can ask all your most important questions and gain clarity on them, alongside polls where we will be asking you about your thoughts on mainstreaming gender within climate finance. Your poll answers will be shared anonymously and discussed with the live audience.
