E Co. invites you to their event

Lessons learned over 20 years of E Co. project design + music from around the world

About this event

Come and celebrate 20 years of E Co. with us!

As 2020 draws to a close, join us for our upcoming virtual party this 11 December, where we’ll be celebrating E Co’s 20th anniversary - and important lessons learned from 20 years of low carbon climate-resilient project design. We’ll also be reflecting on some key assignments which have made an impact over the last 20 years.

You’ll be treated to a wonderful array of musical interludes by artists hailing from Brazil, Sudan, Algeria and the Philippines. Bring along your colleagues and your loved ones, too.

Music from across the globe

Domingos Presta, music from Brazil

Domingos is a Brazilian composer, born in Monte Mor in the countryside of the state of São Paulo. His roots are Brazilian music in general, bossa nova, samba, MPB. His lyrics narrate the relaxed Brazilian way of life, in a light and timeless manner.

Asya Satti, music from Sudan.

Asya's musical style is an Afro-fusion. It flows seamlessly between blues and soul with a contemporary twist influenced by her African and Middle-Eastern upbringing. Often alternating between languages, Asya's soaring vocals give an almost hypnotic feel against a strong rhythmic backdrop. Songs about women who are strong, confident, yet exposing an arresting honesty and deep-seated vulnerability, without being deemed fallible in any shape or form…much like Asya herself.

Yazid Fentazi supporting Asya, music from Algeria.

Yaz Fentazi composes in his own words “a blend of traditional with modern music.” It is a uniquely clever and contemporary style of North African fusion, coming from a long tradition of absorbing influences. (SEN Magazine). Fentazi’s compositions have “breadth and atmosphere, and his oud soloing, which recalls the drive and dynamism of world oud star ‪Anouar Brahem‬, is often stunning”. (Guardian). He has been invited for tours and recording with many artists including The Master drummers of Africa, ‪Robert Plant‬ (‪Led Zeppelin‬), ‪Natacha Atlas‬, Trance Global Underground, ‪Peter Ind‬, ‪Marc Almond‬, ‪Cheb Mami‬, Jim Palmer (Robert’s son), Asya Satti and more...

David Nepomuceno, music from the Philippines

David is a producer/guitarist whose influences are rooted in gospel, R&B and pop. A self-taught musician who grew up playing in church, he has further developed his craft in the London and Bristol music scenes. His music and play-style lends to layered and beautiful soulful landscapes.

Sarah Nepomuceno, music from the Philippines

Having grown up around gospel and jazz tunes from a very young age, Sarah quickly took every opportunity to immerse herself in music and performance; from musicals, choirs, drumming for a local steel pans band, songwriting with her brother to choir directing in her community. Her main motivation comes from seeing the beauty and power of music in connecting people to each other and to the world.

So fill your mugs of tea, glasses of wine and come and enjoy some beautiful sounds from around the world. We look forward to seeing you there.
