European Battery Regulation (EUBR): Requirements, Calendar, Key Points, and Digital Passport

About this event

From 18 February 2027, the digital passport will be mandatory for industrial batteries with a capacity exceeding 2 kWh and for batteries used in electric vehicles and light means of transport (LMTs). Less than four months to go!

The EU Battery Regulation (EU) 2023/1542 sets the rules for every battery placed on the European Union market, including those built into cars, e-bikes, power tools, appliances and energy storage systems. If you manufacture, import, trade or dispose of products containing batteries, this regulation could be relevant to you, even if you are a supplier based outside the EU supplying European companies.

Join this webinar to find out which requirements apply to you and how to be ready in time.

You’ll also discover how a company affected by the regulation is preparing its products and data through a real case study.

What you'll walk away with

  • A clear answer to "Does this apply to us?" Find out who is in scope (manufacturers, importers, distributors and online sellers) and which of your products are affected.
  • The key requirements, explained simply: labelling, removable batteries, producer registration (EPR), carbon footprint, recycled content and supply chain due diligence.
  • A realistic timeline: what you must already comply with, what's coming in 2027 and what has actually been delayed, so you know where to start.
  • The digital battery passport, step by step: what data it requires, who can access it and how to collect it from your suppliers without slowing down production or sales.
  • A real case study: how an affected company is preparing its products and data for the regulation.
  • Live Q&A to get answers to questions about your own situation.
