Macquarie University invites you to their event

Masterclass: What is Artificial Intelligence?

About this event

Artificial intelligence is based on the principle that human intelligence can be defined in a way that a machine can simulate it and perform tasks, from the simplest to more complex. The goals of artificial intelligence include learning, reasoning, and perception.

Artificial Intelligence (AI) is in the news these days and is becoming a ubiquitous technology with everything from our phones and TVs to our cars claiming to embody Intelligent technology. But, what is AI? When a manufacturer claims to have included AI in a product, what do they mean?

This masterclass will look at some of the kinds of problems that are solved by AI methods and give a brief view of what those methods are. We’ll also talk about the link between AI, Machine Learning and Data Science. We have also organised a quiz at the end of the session and attendees who complete the quiz with 75% correct answers will be awarded a digital certificate of participation.
