Beginning March 4th, BigQuery Studio will be enabling Dataplex processing by default, which could significantly impact your BigQuery bill.

When you turn on the Dataplex API it will start processing your data automatically for its data discovery functionality, which feeds into other aspects of Dataplex whether they are used or not.

In this webinar we'll explain everything you need to know:

  • Why, if left unattended, your BigQuery costs could significantly increase as a result of this change,
  • What you can do to mitigate or eliminate the effect of this change,
  • Which situations you might consider leaving the Dataplex API on
