Globuc invites you to their event

Maximum Circularity for PET Packaging and textiles: what is possible and what will it take?

About this event

PET packaging and polyester textiles are used everywhere – from bottles and food packaging to clothes and healthcare products. Mechanical recycling of PET bottles is often highlighted as a success story and example for circular packaging systems.

And yet, most PET packaging / polyester textiles ends up in landfill, incinerators or litter after one short use. Systemiq has built a digital simulation of the PET/polyester system.

With input from industry, policy-makers and civil society they have mapped what a future system scenarios could look like, combining all circular economy approaches including reuse, mechanical and chemical recycling.

In this session Systemiq will present the results of this analysis and propose priority actions to achieve an ambitious and achievable path towards circularity.
