Catalysts for Change: The Unique Power of Residential Experiences

About this event

Understanding the unique role of short-term interventions in creating lasting change for young people

Can a single week change the course of a young person's life?

Drawing on research, psychology, impact evidence and lived experience, this webinar explores why short-term interventions can have long-lasting effects. Inspired by the work of Clare Dash, whose research explores the impact of residential interventions, we'll examine how immersive experiences can create critical turning points in young people's lives, helping them develop confidence, connection, self-belief and renewed direction.

Hear from Clare Dash, doctoral researcher and author of How a short-term behaviour intervention can bring long-term benefits; Jake Curtis, Co-CEO of Jamie's Farm; Tish Feilden, Co-Founder and Psychotherapist; Tim Hucknall Head teacher for Priory Park school in Dudley, and a Young Champion whose own life has been shaped by the programme. Together, they'll explore not just whether short-term interventions work, but why they work, and the unique role they play in creating opportunities for lasting and purposeful change.
