About this event
As we celebrate World Doula Week, (March 22-28th) we are lifting up the contributions of birth workers and learning about the unique role of the doula as part of the birthing team. Doulas are non-clinical care providers that support birthing people along the childbearing continuum, offering physical and emotional support, education, advocacy tools and partner support.
Hear from Mama Glow Doulas who serve as doula mentors as part of the Carol's Daughter and Mama Glow Foundation, Love Delivered Initiative. In April 2021, Carol's Daughter and its founder, Lisa Price, and the Mama Glow Foundation and its founder, Latham Thomas birthed Love Delivered, a new initiative, with a focus on raising awareness of the Black Maternal Health Crisis in the United States, and the importance of doulas and advocates when Black birthing people and babies are most vulnerable.
This conversation is presented by Carol's Daughter
Carol's Daughter has joined in supporting the Mama Glow Foundation's efforts in actively addressing this ongoing crisis with a $225,000 commitment over the next 3 years, to positively impact birth outcomes for Black families in need. The grant is being used to directly fund doula services to BIPOC families in need.
