About this event

10 Predictions for the Future of Architecture

On the final day of Future Fest, Architizer's Editor in Chief Paul Keskeys will be joined by Wandile Mthiyane, Founder of Ubuntu Design Group and The Anti-Racist Hot Dog, to give their thoughts on what comes next for the built environment — at every scale.

We also want YOU to take part — give us your boldest architectural predictions, and you could be featured in an upcoming editorial on Architizer!

During this talk, you’ll learn:

  • How cities might evolve over the next 50 years to combat mounting challenges such as climate change, socio-economic inequality and over-population.
  • How individual buildings may set new benchmarks for the wider profession, from new forms of housing to high tech construction techniques.
  • How the materials we have conventionally used in construction may be replaced by a new range of more sustainable, energy-efficient and resilient alternatives.

Wandile is an Obama Leader, dynamic speaker, political analyst, adjunct professor, and architect who holds a master’s in architecture from Andrews University in Michigan.
