Maintenance is typically blamed for all downtime. However, most downtime in manufacturing is not maintenance-related. Understanding that our goal is reliable operations makes it everyone’s job to eliminate all sources of downtime. The maintenance department has the expertise to eliminate operational losses. With education and understanding, the maintenance department can help operations eliminate sources of downtime and improve overall reliability. In this webinar, we will understand losses at a high level, how to identify and bucket them, how to quantify their impact, and how to create teams to eliminate them.
About George Williams
George has over 25 years of experience in Life Sciences and food manufacturing industries. He is a well-recognized thought leader, change agent, speaker, and teacher within the industry. He teaches courses as part of the University of Wisconsin’s Maintenance and Reliability Management Certificate. George has a master’s degree in Reliability Engineering from Monash University. George is certified in Vibration Analysis, Infrared Thermography, Ultrasound, and Motion Amplification. He is a Certified Maintenance and Reliability Professional (CMRP), Certified Reliability Leader (CRL), Black Belt in Reliability (CRLBB), an Uptime Award Winner, and the 2016 CMRP of the Year recipient.
