The Indentation Plastometer leverages the PIP methodology to extract accurate stress/strain curves from a 2.5-minute indentation test. As Chief Technology Officer I have developed numerical methods for rapid extraction of mechanical properties from indentation data. These are deployed in our method to extract stress-strain curves from an indentation test, which is called Profilometry based Indentation Plastometry (PIP).
I am the lead for hardware development at Plastometrex. My background is in metallurgy, with my PhD focusing on the characterisation of materials from indentation data. This included characterisation of high strain rate plasticity, creep and fracture behaviour.
