About this event
the other person goes quiet, nods, and simply says: “Okay.”
The conversation ends, but your mind keeps going. Were they hurt? Angry? Disappointed? Did you damage the relationship? Should you send another message, explain yourself again, or soften what you just said?
In this session, we’ll explore the uncomfortable moments that come right after honest feedback — especially when the other person’s reaction feels unclear, colder than expected, or simply different from what you had prepared for.
Drawing on clinical and organizational psychology, we’ll look at why silence, ambiguity, and unexpected reactions can feel so threatening, why we often rush to overexplain or take back useful feedback, and how to tell the difference between temporary discomfort and genuine relational damage.
You’ll leave with practical tools to tolerate an imperfect reaction, avoid undermining your own message, and follow up in a way that protects both clarity and the relationship.
The session will end with a 10-minute Q&A to address your questions.
