Our collaborative discussion will focus on the medical and imaging recognition, diagnosis and treatment of canine cholangitis and mucoceles, feline asthma/ bronchitis, and canine pancreatitis. Although each topic will be brief, we hope to give you practical guidelines for diagnosis and treatment that can assist in practice.

I am currently an associate professor in small animal internal medicine, Department of Companion Animal Clinical Studies, Faculty of Veterinary Science. I qualified at Onderstepoort in 2005 and worked in Johannesburg for 1 year and the United Kingdom for 2.5 years. In 2010 I started my small animal internal medicine residency at Onderstepoort, qualified with my MMedVet in 2013 and achieved European Diplomate status in 2016. I am about to complete a PhD in canine neoplasia, thrombosis and markers of metastasis.
I completed my BVSc degree in 2012 at the University of Pretoria. Thereafter I worked at an equine referral practice for approximately 4 years. In 2017 I returned to the faculty as a clinical lecturer while completing my BVSc Honours degree. I have since started a MMedVet in Diagnostic Imaging and hope to complete it in 2023.
