In 2018, the Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN) introduced guidelines for the Payment Service Bank (PSB) license, which allows mobile network operators to provide financial services. In 2022, two giant telecommunication providers, MTN Nigeria and Airtel were granted this license.

But what does this mean for customers, financial inclusion, and fintech in Nigeria?
