About this webinar
If you are a Design Engineer, your priority is on “What – do we need to produce”, and you focus on Form, Fit and Function of the product.
On the other hand, if you are a Manufacturing Engineer. What’s important for you is “How – do we produce this product”, in order to meet cost, time and quality requirements”.
And lastly, if you are a Service Engineer. You focus is on “How - do we service this product”. You would like to structure and group components in the model so that you can sell parts in appropriate service kits.
If you try to capture all of the above into one single BoM, you know that this will eventually end up in problem, and you will get a product structure that is not perfect for anybody.
So we need to be able to manage “Multiple BoM’s”
But managing multiple BoM’s can be a challenge. Especially if you have disconnected systems and processes.
And this is still a common scenario in most of the companies. EBOM’s is managed in PLM systems, and the mBOM is managed in ERP or MPS systems, or even separately on spreadsheets.
Join us and get some best practices regarding multiple BoM’s and BoM!!
