Lead Technical Director in the Lightspeed team at PIXAR since 2011, contributing to various films over the last 10 years. Currently working with the RenderMan team to improve RenderMan's stats & diagnostic capabilities to make production TD workflows more efficient & production TDs happier.
Trina has been a graphics geek since the early days of flying logos, writing software for both Animation and VFX on films from "Shrek" to "Inception". Her first SIGGRAPH was in 1992, and now she mentors younger generations encouraging young women and girls to get involved in STEM careers.
During his 23 year career at Pixar, Wayne is credited in all of Pixar's films since "A Bug's Life". Wayne has developed core RenderMan code for ray tracing, shading languages, texture caches, and system architecture. He lives in Seattle and enjoys photography, hiking, and making beer.
hilippe has worked for 25 years as a Visual Effects Technical Director, in such films as Harry Potter, The Dark Knight, Inception, and more. Besides loving shading and rendering, he’s been a RenderMan user since version 3.4 and is now one of the developers of RenderMan for Maya.
Artist and Writer. Over 15 years in VFX after teaching college with experience in both film and commercial pipelines. The love of lighting and rendering came after a fascination with photography, materials science, and now missing the smell of photo fixative.
