Speakers

Thor Thorup is co-founder and Chief Commercial Officer at Portchain. Previously, he worked at McKinsey leading digital transformations for shipping and logistics clients. He led the development of an industry leading data sharing effort in a Global Port, and led several digital strategy efforts for companies across the logistics value chain. Thor has a MSc in Mechanical Engineering (Hons) from the Technical University of Denmark.

Tom Boyle is the Director of Vessel Operations and Carrier Sales at South Carolina Ports Authority where he oversees the berthing schedule for five state owned and operated terminals; three container, breakbulk/RoRo, and cruise terminal. Mr. Boyle also manages the Ocean Carrier relations and contracts with the top global shipping companies and collaborates with key stakeholders in the local port community. Prior to his position at South Carolina Ports he was a Port Captain for Maersk Line and a US Merchant Marine deck officer.

Carlos Lazo is the Vice President of Management Board at Tanger Alliance. Carlos has +10 years of experience in the port industry. I have previously worked for APM Terminals. In the ports of Callao-Peru, Poti-Georgia, Buenaventura-Colombia. I started with Tanger Alliance (JVA Eurogate, ContShip Italia, Marsa Maroc, Hapag Lloyd) in February 2020. I Become part of Green field project team as Ops Manager. I currently fill the position of COO / CCO at Tanger Alliance, a container terminal with 1.5M Teus capacity, located in the Port complex of TANGERMED in Morocco.
