Port Technology International invites you to their event

Learning the Delicate Balancing Act of the American Ports

About this event

In this session, Blume Global’s Lincoln Pei will discuss the current state of the West Coast ports, detailing the current congestion issues and challenges that may emerge in 2022, while Blume’s Lisa Wheldon will provide a walkthrough of the pain points experienced on the East Coast. The speakers will then discuss these unique issues in the context of the broader supply chain industry, exploring how port trouble impacts all modes of the logistics arena. Finally, the two will weigh different options for speedy congestion remediation and talk about what it will take to get the supply chain untangled.

SPEAKERS

Lincoln Pei, Sales Director, Blume Global

Lincoln Pei has over 25 years of leadership experience with major Ocean Carriers. During his tenure, he successfully managed and improved the P&L for multiple dry and refrigerated trade lanes, reduced vessel and container operational costs, and was instrumental in driving growth in market penetration while increasing return on assets. Informed by his experience in trade management, vessel deployment design, marine and land operations, yield management and systems implementation, Lincoln is inspired by the drive to solve problems through innovation in the supply chain. In his spare time, he plays a bit of guitar and still manages to get on a skateboard and surfboard on occasion. A graduate of UC Irvine, he recently returned to Southern California and now resides in Orange County.

Lisa Wheldon has more than 30 years of experience working in the transportation and logistics industry and has recently joined Blume Global as a Sales Director. She currently serves on the Board for the New York Traffic Club as well as the Containerization and Intermodal Institute, an organization dedicated to promoting and supporting the business of intermodal trade and the intermodal container transportation community
