The aim of this FREE webinar is to raise awareness about the visible risks and vulnerabilities amongst ports and their suppliers by illustrating the current cyber risk landscape of the sector in the context of other industries and geographies.

The webinar will start with an introduction by Mastercard on the relationship with Port Technology International and the current partnerships they've got with Ports. We will then follow up with an exploration of the cyber security landscape of Ports and how RiskRecon can evaluate Ports and their cyber Hygiene. The final section of the webinar will see us explore the importance of 3rd party suppliers and best practices within Cyber Security.


Attendees Will:

Speakers


Melanie Gersten is a Director on Mastercard’s Cyber and Intelligence Solutions (C&I) team developing cybersecurity services for stakeholders. Her primary focus is on building the threat intelligence capabilities offered by Mastercard.

Melanie has almost 10 years of experience in the fraud and cybersecurity industry. Prior to joining the C&I team, Melanie was on Mastercard’s Account Data Compromise team managing global investigations involving high-profile merchant data breaches. Melanie also previously represented Mastercard at the National Cyber Forensics and Training Alliance.

Melanie graduated from New York University with a MS in Cybersecurity Risk and Strategy and from Johns Hopkins University with a BA in Psychology. She is a member of the ACFE and is a Certified Fraud Examiner (CFE). She also holds Certified Information System Security Professional (CISSP) and Systems Security Certified Practitioner (SSCP) certifications through ISC2.


David Housman is a Senior Cyber Intelligence Analyst supporting Product Development at Mastercard, where he conducts research and analysis into the cyber threat landscape producing actionable insights for Mastercard and its customers. Before joining Mastercard, David worked for the Florida Center for Cybersecurity, serving as the Assistant Director of Plans and Resources, supporting the creation of cybersecurity innovation grant programs, state-wide workforce development initiatives, and strategic planning. He holds a Master’s degree in Cybersecurity and is a Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP).

Driven to innovate and implement commercially viable digital solutions and business models that transform Global Trade applying digital disruption to open new revenue opportunities with new technologies in the Over The Road logistics vertical.


Paulo Fernandes works in Enterprise Partnerships, Global Trade at Mastercard Worldwide.

Financial services & payments industry executive with over 20 years of global experience focused on market growth through innovation, emerging technologies and strategic partnerships.

Driven to innovate and implement commercially viable digital solutions and business models that transform Global Trade applying digital disruption to open new revenue opportunities with new technologies in the Over The Road logistics vertical.

Paulo Fernandes, a seasoned professional with over 20 years of international experience in the payments industry. He is currently responsible for developing partnerships and strategies to capture new payment flows in the Freight vertical focusing on Port Ecosystems and Digital Freight Exchanges. He has had multiple regional and global roles within Mastercard in leading the development of the payments and data solutions for corporate, banking and government clients ranging from financial inclusion, B2B e-commerce, supply-chain management, Travel, ACH Fast Payments and SME enablement.

Prior to joining MasterCard, Paulo developed payment solutions for global financial entities and governments, in the US, Europe, Asia and Sub-Saharan Africa with Visa International, RedRock Consulting, Mercantile bank and the Bank Of Lisbon.

Fernandes has an MBA from the Edinburgh Business School in Scotland and an Economics degree from the University of the Witwatersrand in South Africa. Additionally, he is an associate member of South African Bankers Institute and holds a number of patents in the B2B payments space. He is also the founding member of the LAC Innovation Forum. Fernandes speaks English, Portuguese and Afrikaans-Dutch. He is based in Miami, Florida.
