Speakers

Marek Poetzsch, Spire Global, Sr. Product Manager, Maritime. Marek is a seasoned senior product manager, Maritime for Spire Global where he works with AIS and other maritime data. Before coming to Spire he was also a product manager for fleet management, vessel reporting, and voyage management software. He is an ex-seafarer, with experience working on cargo ships as a navigation officer where he was responsible for reporting that included EU MRV data while onboard.

Michael Obrien, StormGeo, VP of Shipping Operations. As Vice President of Shipping Operations, Michael O'Brien heads up StormGeo's creative product team in the Shipping Division and provides shipping clients with cutting-edge solutions that ensure each voyage's safety, efficiency, and sustainability. Over the course of 25 years, Michael has had a hand in planning and executing more than half a million voyages, generating hundreds of thousands of dollars in savings, reductions in fuel consumption, and the removal of tens of thousands of tons of greenhouse gasses from the environment. Michael holds a B.S. in Meteorology & Oceanography and a M.S. in Environmental Science.
