Library Web Design Series // Part Four: ADA Accessibility

About this event

Skill Level: Beginner - Intermediate

Series: Using data to improve your website (4 of 4 Part Series)

We know that libraries offer everything to everybody; this absolutely includes people living with disabilities. In the web design world, it’s important to develop ADA compliant sites so all patrons have access to your library’s information. In this webinar, we will discuss the following topics:

  • Website Heading Structure
  • Testing for Color Contrast and Color Blindness
  • Fonts and Images - Dos and Don'ts
  • Keyboard Accessibility
  • Video Best Practices

After the workshop, we'll share the following tools with all participants:

1) Free color contrast checker

Determine if your color palette meets ADA accessibility requirements for contrast ratio.

2) Free website accessibility assessment tool

A free software that will scan your website and identify which areas do not currently meet accessibility requirements.

Be ready to implement what you learn immediately following the workshop. See you there!
