A long time advocate for clean hydrogen of all kinds, which means both Blue and Green. Bakken is based in North Dakota in the US. It is working on the Great Plains Synfuels Plant Redevelopment, turning it into one of the largest clean hydrogen production facilities in the US aiming to produce 380,000 tons of hydrogen a year.
Katherine earned her PhD in Chemistry at the California Institute of Technology where she studied the role of hydrogen in renewable energy systems from both a technical and systems perspective.
