About this event
In the cellular world, standards are king. There's no getting around it. If you want to use a cellular radio, you are going to be using a standardized technology. However, moving one step higher in the chain, from the enabling technology itself to the manner in which it is implemented in the field, you will quickly leave the cozy confines of the standardized interface, and be thrust into a world where no two implementations are the same.
This has led to an ecosystem in which vendors play an uncomfortably large part in how these technologies are implemented, and created a need for further standardization - especially for the moments that two different approaches must interact. With Open RAN, WiFi convergence, and Network APIs being perhaps the most pressing, just what is it like behind the scenes, trying to keep these different approaches on the same page?
