About this webinar
Esports, or live video game competitions, are changing what it means to be an athlete. People are flocking to fill arenas just to watch teams play teams go head to head or can stream competitions online from the comfort of their own home. Live sport culture is transitioning to an online medium - Esports players are selling merchandise, getting sponsorships or scholarships, and developing useful skills.
Students, alumni, faculty and staff came together to create one of the top Esports programs in the nation. Join us, Chad Weeden, Director of Esports and CyberSecurity Range (CSR) and alumnus Tyler Schrodt, founder of Electronic Gaming Federation, to view the evolving structure of RIT Esports as well as what it has accomplished, and a glimpse of what the future of Esports might hold.
Tiger Webinars are an opportunity for RIT alumni to tap into the expertise and know-how that makes up the RIT community of alumni, faculty, and staff. See the unique topics we're exploring!
RIT is composed of nine academic colleges, including the National Technical Institute for the Deaf.
