Join food waste experts from New York State Pollution Prevention Institute on September 28, 2021 at 1:30PM (EDT). The 1.5 hour virtual event will breakdown key aspects of building a diversion program. Representatives from NYSDEC will also be available during the event to answer questions about the upcoming Food Donation and Food Scraps Recycling Law.

    Molly is a Professional Engineer at NYSDEC, working primarily on statewide organics reduction and recycling programs. She holds a B.S. in Environmental Engineering from the University at Buffalo. She is currently focused on the implementation of the Food Donation and Food Scraps Recycling law.

    Ava Labuzetta is a Pollution Prevention Engineer at the NYS Pollution Prevention Institute at RIT. Her work focuses on food system sustainability, and she works closely with municipalities and businesses across the food supply chain to both prevent food waste, and divert it from landfill.
