About this event
⌚ Tick. Tock. Skype for Business is shutting down sooner than you expect.
This poses a challenge for privacy-conscious organizations in all industries, but it’s especially relevant for government and public sector organizations for which Microsoft Teams is not a viable alternative.
For example, the Swedish government, concerned with the security vulnerabilities of US-based cloud solutions, is heavily enforcing the adoption of other, more secure alternatives. Other Nordic countries, such as Finland and Norway, are headed in the same direction.
“The Swedish Tax Agency and the Swedish Enforcement Authority concluded from their investigations that the use of Teams as their main video conferencing and collaboration platform would be incompatible with the regulations governing their activities.”
If you're still relying on Skype for Business to exchange valuable information and chat with your colleagues, other agencies, or citizens: the clock is ticking. ⏰
On May 31st, Rocket.Chat and Pexip (the preferred collaboration platforms chosen by the Swedish Government) are going live to tell you all about the new updates to their partnership.
If you're a company seeking an on-premise and highly secure alternative to Skype for Business, this session is for you. We will cover:
👉 What data security challenges government agencies and the public sector in Nordic countries are facing right now
👉 Why cloud-based solutions aren't an option for replacement
👉 Rocket.Chat and Pexip roadmap: What you can expect from this partnership moving forward
