Be prepared for the unlikely scenario that an active shooter event occurs in your workplace. This training course covers response procedures designed to keep you safe. To begin, we’ll define what an active shooter event is and discuss the natural stress response to freeze, flee, or fight. Next, you’ll learn how to be vigilant by assessing your surroundings, taking note of suspicious activities or behaviors, and recognizing the sound of gunfire. We will also provide guidelines to maximize your chance of survival during an active shooter event. Finally, we’ll outline what to do when law enforcement arrives and simple precautionary measures that can prevent shootings or minimize casualties.

This course is presented with clear instruction and helpful real-world examples. By the end of the course, you will be equipped with vital active shooter safety principles that could save your life.
