About this event
Introduction - Why are we here / why do injuries happen etc.
Prepare for an injury-free workday The session starts with a safety fundamental: planning. We discuss how to create and conduct effective pretask plans to avoid injuries.
Identifying hazards is another key step in prevention, so we focus on four of the most common hazards in construction: falls, electrocution, “caught-in-between,” and “struck-by.”
Respond to incidents and analysis Sometimes, despite our best safety efforts, incidents and injury accidents occur. We learn the actions you need to take when things don’t go as planned and incidents or injuries occur on the jobsite. We also explore how to study incidents and accidents to find and implement actions that can make our jobsites safer.
