About this event
Designing safety training that people actually remember and use on the job can be a challenge. This session explores practical, real-world strategies for creating training that works and sticks. Participants will look at how training delivery has evolved, review trends in learner engagement, and explore a range of training methods including eLearning, instructor-led training, on-the-job learning, and collaborative approaches.
A central theme of this session is that there is no single “best” training method. Effective programs align the method with the learning goal, the audience, and the real-world application. Attendees will learn how adults prefer to learn and how to apply those principles to create training that is relevant, self-directed, and focused on problem-solving.
The session also tackles one of the biggest barriers to training effectiveness: how quickly people forget what they learn. You will walk away with practical techniques to improve retention by reinforcing key concepts, making training interactive, and ensuring content is clear, relevant, and easy to apply on the job.
