What is a hazard? Can injuries be prevented? Join us for an overview of how to recognize, prioritize and control hazards common in businesses today. We will practice finding and prioritizing hazards, discuss strategies for preventing injuries, and conclude by sharing helpful tools and resources.

Shyra is a Senior Safety Management Consultant for SAIF Corporation, with over 13 years of safety and health experience. Shyra began her career in 2006 working at Swanson Group Mfg. in Glendale OR. She started off in production feeding Dryer. Shyra worked her way through the plywood business and finally got into Safety in 2010 as the Safety Coordinator. Shyra became a Safety Supervisor in 2015 where her focus was in SHARP, Work Comp and HR. In 2019 Shyra left the Swanson Group and joined Roseburg Forest Products as a Safety Professional and worked with a great group of people until leaving Roseburg and joining the SAIF Team in January 2022.
