Wildfire smoke events are becoming more frequent and severe, creating new challenges for Oregon employers. This session will review Oregon OSHA’s wildfire smoke standard and explain how employers can recognize and respond to hazardous smoke conditions. Topics will include PM2.5 exposure levels, health effects of wildfire smoke, employer responsibilities under the rule, and practical approaches for protecting workers through planning, training, and appropriate control measures. This course has been approved for one Construction Contractors Board continuing education credit.
