He has also earned certifications in areas such as effective negotiating and agile leadership.
Steve Greenfield is a seasoned automotive technology executive with over 25 years of experience. He is the founder and General Partner of Automotive Ventures, a venture capital firm focused on innovation in transportation technology. Previously, Steve held senior roles at TrueCar and AutoTrader.com, leading acquisitions including vAuto, Kelley Blue Book, and VinSolutions. He also served as Manheim’s Director of International Development, managing ventures in Dubai, Istanbul, and Beijing. Steve is the author of two books and publishes the weekly "Auto Intel Report." He enjoys racetrack motorcycle riding and caring for rescue cats.
James Powell leads Asset & Consumer Finance at SBS, overseeing digital transformation in wholesale and retail lending. With extensive experience in specialized finance, he has driven innovation through partnerships with major auto manufacturers and financial institutions. James has been instrumental in advancing SBS’s Software Financing Platform (SFP) and integrating digital audit solutions. His leadership reflects a commitment to modernizing asset finance operations globally. James is a frequent speaker at industry events and holds a degree in Audio Engineering and Music Technology from the University of West London.
