Festival of Identity invites you to their event

HeartID - Recent Advances in ECG-Based Human Authentication

About this event

Electrocardiography (ECG) is the process of recording the electrical activity of the human heart over time using electrodes that are placed over the skin. While the primary usage of electrocardiograms, the recorded signals, has been focused on the check of signs of heart-related diseases, recent studies have moved also toward their usage for human authentication. This session will first discuss some of the latest trends on ECG related research. Next, it will provide an overview of the novel approach we proposed that establishes an ECG-based personal recognition system using convolutional neural networks (CNN). Last, the session will outline some exciting potential applications of this technology that the audience should know about.
