  • Explain the role of free light chains (FLC) in diagnosis and follow-up of plasma cell neoplasms
  • Give an overview on available free light chain assays: technical and methodological aspects
  • Outline what is important in selecting a FLC assay: reference interval, CKD, clinical performance
  • Detail lessons learned when switching FLC assays

Speaker's biography

Pr. Oliver Frey is a specialist in laboratory medicine.

He is medical director of the IMD Berlin MVZ and specializes in immunological diagnostics and the diagnosis of hematological neoplasia.

Pr. Frey is also involved in accreditation procedures as an expert assessor in the field of immunology and is committed to quality-assured, precise and patient-centered medical diagnostics.
