Privacy Threat Modeling

While threat modeling has been adopted widely in cybersecurity, privacy threat modeling is still a relatively new concept for most professionals. During her talk, Kim will explain how to apply threat modeling to identify and mitigate privacy threats early in the development lifecycle and help build privacy into the system’s core. She will debunk the myth that privacy equals confidentiality and that privacy conflicts with cybersecurity (and that privacy will strenghten security when done right). She will explain how to build on and leverage your existing security TM- activities and guide you into your first steps into the art and practices of privacy threat modeling.
