Amy Fawns Barr is a class teacher at Rowantree Primary School, Dundee, where she has worked since 2019 and currently teaches Primary 5. She is one of the school’s Digital Leads and has taught across both ASN and mainstream settings, bringing a strong inclusive lens to her practice. Amy uses digital tools, particularly Seesaw, to amplify pupil voice, support feedback, and strengthen home–school connections in realistic, manageable ways. She has a real passion for accessible, meaningful digital practice and is currently taking part in the HP Innovation Programme, exploring how technology and pedagogy can improve learning while reducing workload.
Alan Macdonald is our STEM teacher and Digital Lead at Rowantree Primary School, where he has worked since 2020. For the past two years, Alan has delivered whole-school STEM as non-contact time for teachers and led the implementation and growth of STEM across the school, embedding skills-based, hands-on learning from Early to Second Level. A strong advocate for digital evidencing and pupil-led learning, Alan uses Seesaw to capture rich learning experiences, particularly in STEM contexts, while improving visibility and consistency across the school. He is also part of the HP Innovation Programme, with a keen interest in how digital tools and AI can enhance feedback, learner confidence, and sustainable practice.
