About this event

By request from parents... a detailed exploration of the 11+ process – specifically for girls.

While on paper it seems like girls have it easier than boys – there are certainly more selective school options for girls in south-west London and Surrey – there are particular challenges of navigating the 11+ with your daughter. Girls growing up much more quickly than ever before, smartphones, mental health challenges and the psychological fallout from Covid have all formed a perfect storm for our girls.

This lunchtime webinar with Adam D'Souza and Mel Ingle will give you tips to navigate the senior school transfer process with your daughter, and help her to thrive in the next step of her education.

Who is this for?

Parents with daughters in primary or prep school, who are looking ahead to 11+ transfer to academically selective private senior schools or grammar schools.

What will you learn?

  • The London selective school “landscape” for girls in 2025
  • How to choose which schools to apply to – making a plan
  • How to gain a place at a selective school without overwhelming your daughter with too many entrance exams
  • Insights on pre-teen psychology: keeping girls "on a level" through the run-up to 11+
  • Different options for highly academic or later-developing girls, e.g. 7+ and 13+ routes

Why attend?

To understand how to most effectively support your daughter through the 11+ process, helping her to realise her potential without overwhelming her or stoking up anxiety.
