Small Business Majority invites you to their event

San Francisco Ordinances for Small Business: lactation, parental leave and salary history

About this event

The City and County of San Francisco have adopted several new local labor laws, including the San Francisco Lactation in the Workplace Ordinance, the San Francisco Paid Parental Leave Ordinance (SF PPLO) and the San Francisco Consideration of Salary History Ordinance.

Join Small Business Majority, Legal Aid at Work, and the San Francisco Office of Labor Standards Enforcement to learn how these new laws affect small business owners, their workforce, and the various employer responsibilities they require.

Topics of discussion include:

  • The creation and distribution of appropriate policies
  • Accommodations made for lactation and pay during parental leave
  • Prohibitions regarding requesting prospective employees' salary histories
  • Where to go with questions about how to comply

A brief question and answer period will follow.
