ACE Battery’s Compact, Easy Install, All-in-One Energy Storage System for the European Market

About this event

In the European market, the demand for the transformation of traditional energy to new energy sources has greatly promoted the installation of photovoltaic (PV) systems. However, the time-limited and variable energy supply of photovoltaic systems inevitably requires the addition of energy storage to carry out energy shift and stability.

The traditional residential energy storage system consists of an inverter, a battery, and an energy management system, and each component is purchased from an independent brand. This poses a big challenge in terms of system compatibility. Service support time can be slow, the cost is high, and it is difficult to coordinate with various brands to solve any compatibility issues that arise.

The PE20 H2 and L2 series products from ACE are highly integrated with the design of inverter, battery and energy management system, which completely solves the compatibility problem of system components and greatly reduces service requirements.

Installation time and labour costs are reduced with the PE20 series, which enable modular plug-in stacking of the whole system with a cableless plug-in design, using a unique floating alignment technology. With the help of prefabricated energy management software and greatly simplified set-up steps, the installation time of the whole system is only 15 minutes.

The increasing number of home device appliances in Europe, especially electric vehicles and heat pumps, is rapidly increasing the total power demand for household energy.

The traditional single residential energy storage system design ceiling is 10kW AC power and 20kW battery capacity. If you want to expand your capacity, you need to connect multiple systems in parallel. Not only is it costly, but it also takes up more space.

However, the PE20 series products can support a maximum of 12KW AC power and 22.8KWH battery capacity, which perfectly meets the requirements of current residential power expansions. Although the power and capacity have increased, the product's high power and energy densities means the system remains compact.

The traditional residential energy storage system design only considers the application scenario of one charge and one discharge per day. However, as the grid becomes more volatile, more and more European regions will experience multiple peak-to-valley electricity prices per day. That means multiple daily charge and discharge cycles to capture that volatility, placing new demands on the cycle life of the battery.

The PE20 series products can support 7,000 charge-discharge cycles, meeting the demand of two complete cycles per day during the 10-year warranty period, fully unlocking the economic benefits of household energy storage.

Fluctuations in supply and demand have also led to real-time changes in electricity prices in Europe. The traditional residential energy storage system can only set the electricity price for a fixed period and cannot be linked to the grid electricity price in real time.

The energy management system (EMS) of PE20 series products allows customers to uncouple from the electricity prices of the power grid company. PE20 systems can automatically adjust the charging and discharging period according to the real-time electricity price to achieve maximum profit.
