Solar Media invites you to their webinar

DSM Retrofit AR coating; Unlock higher solar farm returns. With DSM, SternEnergy and Encavis

About this webinar

The majority of legacy PV Power plants across Europe and the US were built around 10-years ago and did not have factory anti-reflective coatings but were built and in operation when feed-in tariffs (FiT) and Power Purchase Agreements (PPA’s) were at an historical high and in operation for 20- years.

Normally operating legacy PV power plants typically experience performance degradation in the range of 0.4% per annum after the first year, according to an NREL report. With a further 10 years of expected normal operation of such plants, asset owners can financially benefit with measurable IRR returns from repowering.

However, there are several available options to repowering but can come with high upfront cost that can question economic returns or are simply not possible due to legacy FiT legislation.

Rethink repowering or replacing while there is a much more elegant, low risk and retrofit solution available: retrofitting with AR coating.

In this second TechTalk webinar, DSM and its ecosystem partners, SternEnergy and Encavis will discuss all the relevant aspects  of in-field retrofit AR coating technology and step-by-step procedures from the perspective of investors, maintenance engineers, and asset owners.

Webinar Learning Points:

  • Gain insight into smart repowering of older PV power plant assets that boosts measurable IRR gains and guaranteed bankability
  • Understand the cost and risk related issues of key repowering options
  • Learn about in-field Retrofit AR coating technology and best practices
