Solar Media invites you to their event

Fast-tracking innovative U.S. PV technologies into mass production

About this event

With over 100-GW of announcements during the past 12 months for new solar PV manufacturing capacity in the U.S. in coming years, attention is now moving to U.S.-owned companies and technologies that could be part of the new domestic eco-system unfolding.

Over the past 100 years, the U.S. has been unmatched in terms of mobilizing resources to meet technical challenges in general, or in championing and fostering new startup’s and technologies that become true game-changers. Making this happen now, as part of domestic investments into local PV manufacturing, is critical to ensure that the 100’s of GWs of new capacity is differentiated from foreign offerings and capable of moving the PV technology roadmap to new levels of cost and performance.

As we count down to the U.S. PV technology must-attend event this year – PV CellTech USA 2023 – in the San Francisco Bay Area on 3-4 October 2023, we are putting on a special webinar here to look more closely at U.S.-owned PV innovation, some of the companies at the heart of this, and the pivotal role that the U.S. Department of Energy has been playing in identifying and supporting new start-up PV manufacturers that could truly make a difference in coming years.

Moderated by PV Tech’s Dr. Finlay Colville, the webinar will feature contributions from leading players at the U.S. Department of Energy’s America-Made Network program and its America-Made Solar Prize initiative, in addition to hearing from some of the companies that have already been short-listed through these efforts and are expected to play a key role in U.S. solar manufacturing in coming years.
